December Daily - Cover and Dec. 4

Hello!  Today I am sharing with you the cover to my December Daily album and the page for December 4th.   The album is an sei album, already red with a black spine. I added Coredinations white glitter paper for the snow drifts and used Jolly Holidays. The reindeer is flocked and cut at 6.5". The presents are cut at 2".

The page for December 4 is the day I had all of my Christmas cards sent out. When I saw the picture of my girls, I knew it was the Christmas card picture this year. While it's not the standard posed, face on picture, it captures my girls 100%.

Because the card has unique colors in it, I based my page on black paper. The pattern paper is from a border piece of ______. The 4 is Designer's Calendar at 2".

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and are enjoying the last few days of 2012!

December Daily - Dec. 3 and Calendar

I had the chance to finish two more simple pages for my December Daily today.  The first is the calendar page that is the first page you see when you open the album.  I've been keeping mini notes on this calendar about what each day holds.  This is as much for me to use when scrapping the pages as it is for a preview of what the album holds!

I found this calendar on GetFreeCalnedars.

The next page I finished today was for December 3rd, a Monday that was a pretty quiet day.  There are teacher bloggers that do a "Currently" post each month.  I love reading these as they relate to the classroom so I decided to use it in my album.  You can find the December Currently at Oh Boy Fourth Grade. I printed it as 5x7 and just printed on it with a Sharpie pen.

Although it hard to tell in the picture, I used sandpaper on the brown background so it has a really neat texture.  The 3 is Designer's Calendar at 2".

Happy Christmas Eve Eve to everyone ;)

Dance Team Christmas gifts

Merry Christmas! Last year I made the high school dance team that I coach glitter ornaments.  This year, I found a great deal through Avon and decided to get the girls some small beauty supplies (chap stick, lotion, bath gel, etc.).  I of course had to toss in some candy too!

Here are the gift bags I made for them:

The clear bag is just from Walmart, the cardstock from my stash.

The stamps are from a KaiserCraft and the dancer is from Wall Decor & More at 2.25".

Merry Christmas all!

December Daily 2012 - Dec. 7

Hello!  I had the chance to work on a few things yesterday since it was a snowday!  I completed December 7th for my December Daily 2012. (I did warn you I'd be skipping around...) On this day, my town had it's annual holiday parade.  The Dance Team that I coach walked in the parade for the first time.  Many of my dancers are also in the band or on flag squad so they were in other parts of the parade.  We had a fun time.  My daughters also walked with me behind the team and enjoyed walking down the middle of the road (or being pulled in a wagon for my youngest).

Here is the 8x8 layout:

I included the North Pole sign from Jolly Holidays but left off the wording so I could use it as a parade sign:

Items used:
Red paper is Little Yellow Bicycle
Sign post is Jolly Holidays at 3"
7 and brackets are from Designer's Calendar

December Daily 2012 - Dec. 2

There is a project that happens in December called "December Daily".  The goal is to record one thing you do each day and make it into a scrapbook.  I love this idea but up until now, haven't committed.  This year I have been taking pictures all month and recording things on a little calendar.  Last night I got the first half of the month's pictures developed and decided that yes, I am going to do this.  I'll probably skip around until I'm done but here is December 2:

The flap opens up to show DD #2's room and the journaling.

My December Daily will be 8x8.

#2 is from Designer's Calendar at 2".
Patterned Paper here is from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Christmas stocking with the Knifty Knitter

Hello!  We are getting close to Christmas!  I hope your shopping is done and you are relaxing as we enter the week before Christmas (I'm not!). :)

Earlier this month I posted a stocking that I made with ProvoCraft's Knifty Knitter on the Cricut FANatics blog.  I am not a traditional knitter but I do love the Knifty Knitter!  It is so easy to loom knit!  Here is the first stocking I made:

I then made a baby version:

And one more for my Secret Stocking Swap on the Cricut Circle MB!  This one I added some hand sewing of a Circle logo on the cuff:

The complete details of the stocking, including links to YouTube tutorials that I used to learn are on my original post HERE.

Enjoy the coming days, they will be over much to fast! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus and Baby Jesus at our house!

Thankful For... layout

Hello!  Last month I posted this layout on the Cricut FANatics blog.  I created this 12x12 layout in the weeks before Thanksgiving with fall colors and a fall picture.  This picture was taken in October 2012, on my daughter's birthday.  I hope you enjoy!

The full blog post with size and cut details and a fun hidden feature about this layout can be found HERE
