Bachelorette Survival Kit

This past week I had the joy of preparing the party favors for a friend's bachelorette party.  I was so excited to do this!  I love to be creative when other people will be on the receiving end of my projects.  Today I am going to share with you the Bachelorette Survival Kits I made for us girls and later this week the bachelorette sash I made her! Both were super fun projects!

I used paper sacks, folded over the top, punched holes and used silver zebra ribbon to tie it together with the tag I made up.  The bride-to-be had special bling from the Dollar Bin at Michael's. 

Inside there were a bunch of little treats to get the girls through the night.  The tag on the front explained why each item was included in the bag. 

A close-up of the Advil packets.  I folded a 4x2 piece of paper in half and sewed the edges shut.  This leaves one side for easy tearing when the end of the night comes and you need some Advil! The pink stickers I created by printing them on a full sheet label and then using a 1" circle punch.

A super-duper good friend of mine is about to get married!  Below is the card I made for her wedding shower:

My mom subscribes to Cardmaker magazine and in the September issue, there was an accordian Halloween card that I loved the layout of.  There are a lot of good ideas in that magazine! Here is my adaptation. The wedding papers are from an older Making Memories set I have.

The white ribbon is tied around the outside so after you untie it or slip it off, the card starts to open like this :

What I love about this is is looks like there is paper everywhere but when you open it up, there are still black squares and the paper is on opposite sides.

The rings and hearts are cut from Cricut's Everyday Pop-Up Cards cart.  The sentiment stamp is Fiskars.

Thanks for the Memories frame

At the end of the last school year, a co-worker retired.  We have a small department and so we celebrated her retirement with a small party including cake, punch, and gifts!  This is the shadow box frame I made for the sentimental portion of her gift:

We had just gotten together earlier in the month for another retirement so I took the opportunity to get us together for a photo, knowing that I would be needing it for this!

I had already closed the shadow box and was ready for wrapping so I'm sorry about the glass glare!  I took pages from Old Yeller to use one in the background and another to make this flower.  I then used two cuts from Ornamental Iron to give the center a little color.  I used hemp twine and a button to finish it off.

In the bottom corner I used two ribbons from Michael's to add that "school" flavor.   I also used a Melody Ross tag to journal that we would miss her!

The top corner has an epoxy sticker from JoAnns and a cut from Ornamental Iron.

This was like doing a scrapbook page in a frame so I really enjoyed making it!  It was well received too! :)

Stick Pin Swap

Hello!  This project is for a stick pin swap I was in via the Cricut Circle message board and I have been waiting to share them with you for quite awhile!  Everyone should have their boxes back now so today is the big reveal day! I was in Group 2.

So here we go!  Each was wrapped in a clear bag.  When you take it out of the bag, it looks like this:

Then you untie the ribbon and enjoy...

The pearl topped pins were from Bargain Bill's, the green beads were from Hobby Lobby, the graphite beads and clear beads from Michael's, and the ribbon was from my stash.

This swap was a lot of fun and the pins I got back were beautiful!  Thank you to our wonderful hostess, JJewel!

I entered this into the Cricut Circle Magazine Challenge, which is to use our newest Cricut cartridge, Out of Character! This is the enjoy cut at 2", with all layers out of different color greens.  I embossed the front of the card with a Cuttlebug folder.
