My neice recently had a birthday and this is the card I created for her:
The hippo is cut at 3.5" from Birthday Bash.
The paper and ribbon was from my stash.
The sentiment is My Pink Stamper.
I added stickles to the cherry on the ice cream cone and to her toes to give a girl a little nail polish!
Have a great day!

Party Goers - Mickey Layout 3
This is the last layout in this birthday series. I think it is important to document who came to the party too!
For this layout, I used the ticket feature on the Mickey Font cart. (I really used a lot of this cart in this layout series! It was fun re-acquainting myself with the features.) Both tickets were cut at 1.5", then split down the middle where the pages adjoin.
The Mickey heads around the page are 1.5" and the Mickey Ears at the bottom of the journaling block are 1".
Be sure to leave a comment on this post for another chance to win the Mickey blog candy from the HOP. If you comment on all three layouts, you will have three chances at winning! I will choose a winner tomorrow - a fun announcement that you won something before going out and spending all your money on Black Friday deals! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Boy! Mickey Layout
Hello! I have another Mickey Mouse birthday party layout for you! Yesterday I shared the layout of cupcake time for the Me and Mickey Blog Hop. Today's layout is more of the party and opening gifts. So without further adieu... here it is!
The left side:
Mickey is from Mickey Font, cut at fit to page on a 12x12, which came out to 10.75".
Oh Boy is a phrase on the cart (also the phrase I used for the party invitations) cut at 1.5".
I'm 2! was cut at 1".
The right side:
The birthday girl's big sister dressed up as Minnie Mouse to surprise her sister. It was very cute!
Some details:
The Mickey heads were cut at a variety of sizes from 1-2". I like the silhouette cut on this cart!
You can leave a comment on this post for a chance (or another chance) to win the blog candy from yesterday! I'm sure the other ladies in yesterday's blog hop would love it if you visited their blogs today if you did not yesterday! Have a wonderful Sunday!

Me and Mickey's Birthday Hop!
Hello and welcome to Me and Mickey's Birthday Hop!
Today we are celebrating a fellow crafter's birthday, along with Mickey
Mouse's birthday! Rexann's birthday is today, November 19! Mickey
Mouse's birthday was yesterday, Nov. 18th. We have a great line up of
bloggers for you that are all going to
share projects relating to birthdays and Mickey Mouse. These ladies are great
crafters! I hope you will join us for the hop and leave comments for
everyone with your thoughts about their project! This is the first
stop on the hop. The birthday girl is stop #5 so be sure to stop there!
Rexann loves Mickey Mouse and it just so happens that my daughter does too! For her 2nd birthday party, we celebrated using Mickey as our theme. I posted about the birthday projects I made in these posts. I hadn't gotten around to scrapping her birthday pictures so this was the perfect opportunity! I created this 12x12 two page layout to share with you today:

Mickey is from Mickey Font at 4". The cupcakes are all from the Cupcake Lite cart at 1.5". I added stickles to the frosting area to make it cuter.
The title is Mickey Font cut at 1.5". All of the patterned papers are from American Crafts Travel paper pack.
I am hoping to have the other completed layout of her party ready for you tomorrow.

Reading is out of this world!
The Scholastic Book Fair is always an exciting time of the year. This fall the theme was To the Book Fair and Beyond: Reading is out of this world! I had a good time decorating for it. Check out some of the pictures of my library:
As you come up the stairs, this is the first thing that you see.
Then it is time to enter the book fair ---
The UFO is made from an old plastic swimming pool.
Look at the top of this picture, you will see mini UFOs hanging around. Those are made from styrofoam plates and bowls.
The main desk. All of the silver mylar was donated from a local company. It is the lining you see inside potato chip bags!
This is outside in another part of the hallway. We had a rocket building contest for the kids. There were tons of entries!
I love getting everything ready for the Book Fair and the wonderful feeling it gives kids to shop at their library. It's their own personal little store! ...and since I work in more than one building, I get to move all of this from one school to the next and do it again in the coming weeks!
*Most of the ideas here are taken directly from the company. I made them and gave them my own flair but the originality of most things I cannot claim as my own.*
I hope you all have a wonderful week!

WI mini album and blog hop winner!
Hello all! Thank you so much if you were one of the people who stopped by my blog hop this weekend! The ladies in the hop sure had some awesome projects to share! I've selected a winner for the blog candy. It is...
Mona, I will send you an email! Be on the look out!
Today I would like to share with you a mini album that I completed last week. I recently hosted a Flat Stanley project for a fifth grade student. He sent me a Flat Collin and I was to share Flat Collin's adventures in my state! Here is what I created:
The entire book was cut with chipboard first, then covered with paper. I used a 12x12 paper and did fit to page on my Expression. WI, from 50 States, cut out at 8.5" if I remember correctly... :) The state flag is cut at 5.5". I am SOOO happy with the way this cut turned out. For such an intricate cut, I was amazed at how well it came out. I put it up on pop dots so it sticks off the front. Tucked in behind is Flat Collin - more on him below.
This is the book spread out a little so you can see the whole thing.
This was the first page where I listed the state bird, tree, etc. and described where Flat Collin had been visiting!
WI is definitely known for agriculture and with that, corn! Collin had fun hiding in the corn for some pictures. The cheese piece is cut from Create a Critter at 1.25".
This page explains education in WI. Hey, most of you know I work in a school! :)
I added some fun clips with our state abbreviation.
This page explores the state teams and fun things to do around the state.
From the back, here's how it looks.
Here is Flat Collin! He came to me wearing blue jeans and a red hoodie sweatshirt. He left WI dressed as a Packer player. Hey, we are the current Super Bowl champs you know! His clothes/helmet were cut at 5" from Everyday Paper Dolls.
I was planning this out as the Cricut Circle Blog challenge came about - to create a mini album. PERFECT! I've entered this in that contest. I've also shared it on Made by You Mondays.
Thanks for stopping by!

Winter/Christmas Blog Hop
Welcome to the Winter/Christmas Themed
Blog Hop celebrating my favorite time of the year! I love winter and snow AND
it’s my birthday season! :) You should have arrived here from Cindy. If you are just joining us, you can go to Paulette’s
blog, Around the Bock with Scrapalette.
My project for the hop is a 12x12 layout. I am IN LOVE with these pictures of my girls
from last winter. We went out to play in
the snow and the whole family got involved, including our dog. Often times we make the pictures black and
white so that the colors aren’t clashing.
In this case, I wanted to try the opposite – make the layout black and
white so that the pictures stand out.
Here it is!
I found this to be difficult and it didn’t quite turn
out the way I had hoped but it’s still something that I will try again.
For this layout I used:
For this layout I used:
Winter Frolic - Winter Fun phrase at 3"
Border cut at 1" twice (*they don't quite meet under the pictures, it's an illllllusion :) )
Jolly Holidays - Mittens with snowflakes at 2"
Mittens with String at 4"
"Skittles" on the string mittens instead of the button cut
Stickles on the mittens to give the snow look
Snowflake stickers that I had in my stash to make the row along the bottom

far. I have some blog candy to give
away!
