What it means to love you - Blog hop!
Welcome! If you have arrived from Laura's blog, you are in the right place! If you happened along to my blog by accident, please join the hop by going to Dawn's blog and starting from the beginning.
For today's blog hop, we are sharing scrapbook layouts that explain how or why we love someone. A member of our hop is going through a rough time but continually pours her love out everyday to the people that need her the most. We are hopping along to share in her expression of love for those people in our own lives.
This layout sketch was posted as a challenge on the Circle message board a few days ago. As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Here is the layout I created:
First, the papers:
Solid pink background is Recollections.
Darkest pink paper and medium pink printed papers are from the American Girl stack, which you can find at Michael's.
The lightest pink paper on the bottom is printed paper from the Imagine cart Nursery Tails.
The touch of neon green in the flowers is Recollections.
Next the Cricut cuts:
The title is the font on the Cupcake (a Lite cart - if you haven't checked out this font, you are missing out big time!) "what it means to you" was welded and cut at 0.75". "love" and it's welded shadow were cut at 1.05".
The flowers are two variations from Hello Kitty Greetings and were cut at 2" and 1.3".
The circle tag is from Doodlecharms and was cut at 1.6".
Here is a close-up of the journaling, in case you are wondering what it says. This is always the most nerve wracking part for me. I always do my writing as the very last thing after my page is all glued down. What if I screw up?!?!?
Lastly, how about some blog candy? I will give away this I-Rock and gems to one lucky person who leaves a comment on this post and follows my blog if you haven't already. Please leave a way for me to contact you so that I can get you your prize after the hop is over! I will draw a winner on Monday, March 21.
Thanks for visiting! Be sure to go to Shawn's blog next to see her awesome layout! In case you need the list of everyone's blog to get back to the right place, here it is:
